Job Description

About the position

We’re seeking a Sr. Coordinator of Development who knows fundraising inside and out. You’ll be diving into grant writing, individual giving and even some event planning. Got creativity? Great! We need it for sharing our impact through emails, reports and newsletters. You’ll be working across departments, researching and cultivating relationships, meeting big goals, and helping lead the charge in donor recognition and stewardship.

This position reports directly to the Director of Development, who is a member of the Hands On Atlanta Senior Leadership team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Fundraising Knowledge – Familiarity with fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the Atlanta nonprofit sector. Ability to develop and execute impactful annual fundraising campaigns, maximizing donor engagement and lasting support.

  • Grant Management – Ability to craft winning proposals and oversee the full grant lifecycle with precision.

  • Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for grant writing, donor stewardship and team collaboration.

  • Tech Savvy – Experience working with donor databases (Salesforce experience a plus).

  • Organization Skills – Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without dropping the ball.

  • Team Player – Experience working collaboratively across departments and groups, driving toward shared goals.

·       Must live in the State of Georgia, in close proximity to Atlanta

·       Education Level: Bachelor's Degree +

·       Experience Level: 2+ years

·       Valid GA driver’s license required
